We are looking for a Legal Counsel to be a part of our Legal team located in Azerbaijan.

What We Expect

  • Drafting, review and standardization of various contract terms and conditions,  agreements and other documents;
  • Participating in the completion of significant legal projects;
  • Review all business presentations and plans to be presented to Board of Directors;
  • Preparation of Legal Reports for the Management;
  • Serving as Local Ethics and compliance Officer and conduct Code of Business Conduct awareness sessions along with quarterly circulation of ethics line journal;
  • Supporting company secretary services and organizing Board and General Meetings as well as monitor disclosures in compliance with the law;
  • Manage litigation including but not limited to civil, tax, labor, regulatory, consumer and supplier related issues and maintain cordial professional relationship with external legal service providers;
  • Effective interpretation and implementation of the legislative framework of the Republic of Azerbaijan including international treaties to which Azerbaijan is a party and explain current legislation and legislative changes to the structural divisions of CCI Azerbaijan with respect to Competition Code, normative legal acts related to food safety, ecology and natural resources, tax, and customs.

Qualifications:  

  • University Degree in Law
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • English-advanced
  • Legal analytical, logical reasoning and legal research
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Innovative approach to legal service delivery
