Job Identification

We are now seeking for an Accounting Specialist to be a part of our Finance Service Center team. The main responsibilities and the specifications for the role are shared below.

Main Responsibilities

• As a member of Finance Service Center, responsible for rendering accounting services to SPA countries such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, North Iraq, South Iraq, Jordan and Turkmenistan.

• Validating and entering accurately needed general accounting records (accruals, provisions, prepayments, BS-PL reclasses, foreing currency valuation etc.) to the General Ledger

• Making bank transaction postings, checking bank trial balances and reconcilation with the bank statements.

• Reconciling financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and assigned Record to Report "RTR" processes.

• Presenting and preparation of balance sheet and income statements according to IFRS.

• Preparing ad hoc reports for management, SPA countires or external stakeholders,

• Controlling master data of cost elements and cost centers in accordance with chart of account.

• Recognizing and communicating issues/risks within the SAP system and working to generate solutions.• Supporting external and internal audit processes and working with audit teams to provide documents, data and answers.

Capabilities

 

• Bachelor Degree (accounting, finance, economics or other business-related field)

• Min. 2 years in an accounting role having a general knowledge of accounting principles

• Good command of English, both written and verbal is a prerequisite; Knowledge of Turkish will be an asset

• Knowledge of an ERP, SAP, S/4HANA or similar and multidimensional reporting and planning systems preferably

• Knowledge of a RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and Power BI preferably

• Confident, self-motivated and enthusiastic

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to interact courteously with customers with a high quality of service

• Ability to analyze customer needs through soliciting, evaluating, and acting upon customer feedback

• Ability to coordinate with other internal departments to deliver a seamless service to customers
