Job Identification
We are now seeking for a Logistics Executive to be part of our Supply Chain team in Istanbul.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee transportation operations across 10 plants and 6 warehouses, ensuring efficient truck departures and managing the budget for truck and freight distribution activities.
- Drive initiatives related to sustainability goals of company and ensuring eco-friendly logistics practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring seamless collaboration and operational efficiency.
- Manage logistics on time in load KPI and daily vehicle supply ratio and react any truck shortages across 10 plants.
- Manage plant pallet operations, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and operational needs.
- Foster effective relationships with plant warehouse employees and supervisors, facilitating communication and alignment on day-to-day operations.
- Prepare and deliver executive summary reports, providing key insights and updates to senior management.
- Prepare total company logistics budget and analysis of actual expenses. Deliver monthly executive financial reports for top management about actual logistics expenses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve logistical challenges proactively.
Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Industrial Engineering) or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets and optimize costs effectively.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with third-party vendors.
- Proficiency in sustainability practices related to transportation is a plus.
