Job description:
• Review and drawing up contract terms and conditions, as well as other legal documents and make sure that they comply with laws and company policies.
• Drafting, vetting and standardization of various agreements and documents in respect of corporate, commercial and land affairs to secure CCI Azerbaijan's interests and reduce chances of potential litigation
• Represent CCI Azerbaijan in courts, official bodies, local state and public authorities, other organizations and institutions on issues, personally or with other managers of the legal department’s area of responsibility.
• Responsible for preparing legal reporting to management
• Promote an ethical culture across the Company by serving as Local Ethics and compliance Officer and conduct Code of Business Conduct awareness sessions along with quarterly circulation of ethics line journal.
• Manage litigation including but not limited to civil, tax, labor, regulatory, consumer and supplier related issues and maintain cordial professional relationship with lawyers and consultants.
• Liaison with the government/regulatory authorities to ensure that CCI Azerbaijan is in compliance with the relevant legal framework, thereby enhancing corporate image of CCI Azerbaijan.
• Proactively partner with all the departments in resolving their respective issues including HR’s labor issues, Commercial’s key account and marketing issues, Supply Chain’s procurement and regulatory issues, Finance’s tax, banking and financing transactions, etc.
• To harmonize all legal matters with the legal norms enshrined within
the jurisdiction of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including Competition Code, normative legal acts related to food safety, ecology and natural resources, tax, and customs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in field of Law
- Relevant knowledge of civil, labor, and other legislative norms related to the company's activities;
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in Azerbaijani and English
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel programs.
- Minimum 2 years of experience
