Job Identification
We are looking for a Health and Safety Engineer to be a part of our Supply Chain team located in Kazakhstan.
What We Expect
- Ensure the observation of the legislative and other statutory enactments, as well as employer’s enactments regarding occupational, industrial and fire safety in the company and its branches; timely update the list of statutory enactments;
- Learn the working conditions at worksites, prepare and offer proposals on improvement of the working conditions;
- Take part in check and examination of equipment, premises, devices, and collective and personal protection means for efficiency and safety, as well as their compliance with the sanitary-hygienic rules;
- Arrange attestation and certification of the worksites and equipment to ensure their compliance with the sanitary norms and rules;
- Provide methodical assistance to the company divisions on occupational safety issues and arrange personnel training in occupational safety issues;
- Keep in touch with authorized state bodies and other organizations on occupational safety, fire and industrial safety, safety rules, coordinate the introduction of their recommendations and the implementation of their instructions;
- Make sure the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) complies with ISO 45001 standards, and make relevant reports within IMS operation. Analyze and apply project and programs aimed at continuous improvement of IMS with a view to preventing traumas, accidents, negative impact on employees’ health;
- Check the safety logs to ensure compliance with the legislative requirements (stairs and rung ladders, instructions, hanging locks and boards, etc.);
- Arrange and conduct fire safety and safe operation trainings, initiate and conduct annual certification of employees regarding occupational safety, and take part in the operation of the ongoing occupational safety commission;
Qualifications:
- University Graduate
- Minimum 3 years of experience on a similar position
- Language skills: Russian, Kazakh – fluent, English – Intermediate.
- Good command of Microsoft Office programs
