Key Qualifications:
- Education: BBA in Finance, Accounting, or Audit
- Certification: Local auditing and/or tax certification preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Uzbek tax compliance within an audit or tax consulting firm; Big 4 experience is a plus
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Uzbek tax and accounting legislation and IFRS; knowledge of international tax rules and transfer pricing is an advantage
Skills & Competencies:
- Languages: Advanced Uzbek and Russian, at least intermediate English; knowledge of Turkish is a plus
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- ERP Systems: Experience with SAP preferred
- Tax Software: Proficiency in my.soliq.uz is required
- Soft Skills: Agility, flexibility, and a strong client-service mindset
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate calculation and payment of all applicable taxes (profit tax, VAT, property tax, land tax, water tax, excise tax, personal income tax, etc.)
- Monitor and comply with updates in tax legislation
- Conduct tax accounting and prepare tax reports in accordance with regulations
- Participate in tax audits and inspections, providing required documentation and explanations
- Optimize tax payments within the legal framework
- Analyze tax law changes and their impact on business operations
- Interact with external auditors and tax consultants
- Review incoming invoices in the online tax system and ensure accuracy
- Conduct monthly reconciliations between tax online reports and SAP data
- Issue and track electronic invoices and authorizations in Faktura.uz
- Participate in internal financial reporting and inventory checks
